STEM SUPERVISION

As a life-long lover of mathematics, it has been a joy to share the wonder and intrigue of STEM with students. As a teacher, I used deep mathematical questions and hands-on experiences to facilitate student learning. As a leader, I encouraged similar practices, working with staff to not only teach content but to give students ample opportunities to explore STEM in the world around them. Part of my mission is also to increase the participation of women and students of color in STEM, where they are very underrepresented. Working as a P-12 STEM Supervisor in a Title 1 district afforded me an opportunity to serve this important part of my mission. My current work with Knowles Teacher Initiative allows me to spread this joy to students across the US.
